Welcome Letter
At this time of the year many of our activities conclude and if any of you need a helping hand over the summer please contact, Maite Cortes Ivanschits, Newcomer Co-Chair, who will be happy to assist you. Also if you know of any newcomers that have arrived over the summer months please do let Maite know. Her contact information is: Tel: 513.321.0655 or Email: maite.cortes@yahoo.es
A fun outdoor activity has been planned by one of our members, Mary Herrington. Mary has graciously agreed to organize a trip to Cincinnati’s famous Findlay Market. It is a gathering place for people from all over the city and routinely attracts perhaps the most socially, racially, and ethnically diverse group found anywhere in Cincinnati. People come for the sights and sounds and smells of an old-fashioned public market, for the great variety of fabulous fresh foods, for bargains, and for a quintessentially urban shopping experience. The date planned for this activity is July 16th. Look out for more details.
Do remember we are also planning some fun and exciting activities for you when you return after your break!
Coffee Connections is planning the WELCOME BACK COFFEE, which will be held on Wednesday, September 15 at 10 AM, at the Kenwood Country Club. This event is a great opportunity to visit and reconnect with other PGITI members after being away over the summer. One of the highlights at the coffee will be the showcasing of the Language and Interest Groups. We have 30+ groups that meet on a regular basis. The leaders of these groups do an amazing job in allowing our membership to connect with others with similar interests and language skills. These leaders will not be hard to find at the coffee, as they will be dressed in costume. In addition, we will be distributing our new Membership Directories and providing information about upcoming events we have planned for the year. So please mark your calendars, as we do not want to miss seeing you!
The Membership Committee is planning the 5th Annual Welcome Back Picnic on September 26th. The picnic will be held at the Miami Riverview Park, Loveland and is an event for the whole family to enjoy. More details to follow by end August.
The Programs Committee is planning a Comedy Night on October 9th at the Heritage Club, Mason. The evening promises to be an entertaining night with comedy by Steve Mazan (writer for Ellen DeGeneres and an appearance on David Letterman). So plan your date night ahead that will definitely be filled with plenty of laughter! More details will follow.
Please be sure to visit our website www.pgiti.com over the summer. We are highlighting some important information that we believe you will find useful.
Check out the PGITI Calendar page! All the different events planned are listed including some Interest Group events that are scheduled over the summer. Contact the Interest Group Leader directly if you wish to attend.
Our Resources section has the Welcome Guide, which is helpful to our newcomers during the transition process. In this guide you will also find the Goods & Services Directory, which is extremely useful to our entire membership. Also in the Resources section, you will find the Marketplace. This is an excellent tool to use if you are you moving and have items for sale. Remember the Marketplace is for our members only. Please do not try to advertise a business or sell products for guests or friends.
Scroll down to the bottom of the Home Page to find the following pages:

Finally, we would like to thank all our outgoing Leadership Team Chairs: Catalina Campos, Estrella Campos, Ana Christow, Adrian Perez, Gwen Thoen, Pascale Reynaert, Candy Marballi, and Beth Goodwin, the very best in the years ahead. Three cheers to all of them for their time, talent and enthusiasm that made this year one to remember!
